Vorsprung DLB Box – Dynamic Load Balancing for Alpha Max EV Charger | Solar PV Charging, OLED Display, DIN Rail Mount

The Vorsprung DLB Box is a dynamic load balancing unit designed to work with the Vorsprung Alpha Max EV charger. It monitors your home's real-time electricity usage via a CT clamp and automatically adjusts the EV charging current to keep total demand within your fuse limit — preventing tripped breakers and keeping your home circuit safe.

The DLB Box supports three smart solar PV charging modes. Pure PV draws exclusively from surplus solar generation with zero grid energy used. Hybrid mode blends solar surplus with minimal grid power for faster charging. Full Speed mode delivers maximum charging power using all available grid and solar energy combined.

With 100A max detection, the unit suits most UK domestic setups. It operates across a wide temperature range of −30°C to +55°C and features a built-in OLED display for real-time monitoring of grid, home, and solar energy flows. Configuration is handled through simple +/− control buttons on the front panel.

The compact DIN rail-mounted unit (54.8 × 99.6 × 66 mm, 163 g) fits neatly inside your consumer unit. Everything needed for installation is included in the box: the DLB unit itself, a CT clamp current transformer, a 5 m RJ45 Ethernet cable, a 1 m voltage cable, a 105 mm DIN rail, rail mounting clips, and M4×30 expansion screws.
