Bought this because I can't get a charger attached to my property. Delighted by the performance. Easy getting a good charge overnight. I had seen some reviews concerning the heat of the plug, but had no issue with this at all. It gets warm but not hot and is charging at 3kw per hour at 13amp as advertised.

For peace of mind, I store this in my car boot.

Bought this solely for emergency use so was praying that I never would need it. However, I tested it out to ensure it works. Plug it in, turn on the power and it started charging albeit at 2.3KW. This is a great charger to have in your car for emergencies!

I do not know what some of the values on the display are for The mains cable is very short, my mains socket is high up, and the unit is quite heavy. Initially, the weight was pulling the plug out from the socket, so I used an uncoiled extension cable, so that it could rest on the floor

So you get your first ev and you live outside of a major centre. Long trips are easily possible, but you find that 150 kW chargers are unicorns, you’ll be stopping a few times at 50 kW to “top up” and when you reach your destination, if there’s no home charger or public charger available, getting enough to do a return trip can be tiresome. Standard three pins take about 30h to get from 15 to 80%. Having this lead has been a real addition that is practically useful and really helps to allay “range anxiety” as long as you can find a plug my ev6 went from 35% to 100% in 14 hours. That makes “overnight” recharging a reality and gives you a useable car pretty much anywhere. I’m very happy to have bought it.

I run it in the garage, so never tested it in the rain. Plug it in, turn it on, plug into the car, go and do whatever.I usually run it on 6A purely as I'm in no hurry to charge the car most of the time. The unit stays cool without issue. Comes with a nice bag, so easy to take along just in case.It does only have one input (UK 3-pin) but for me that's fine.

Bought this to charge my Harley Livewire as I want to keep the official charger under the seat if im travelling. It works a treat at 8A or 10A (same speed so I use 8A). shows a lot of good information and the harley bike speaks to it exactly the same as the official charger they supply.

Good for travelling or caravan trip with a 3 pin socket in place. You can use 13 amp but your socket will extremely hot and if its a plastic socket it will fried up. 10 amps will be ok but using extension lead pls use 6 amps only so will not cook your extension lead. Charging time was very long so I suggest if budget is ok use a proper home charger type 2 7 kwh and will give you minimum of 6 hrs overnight charging.

It's good value considering it comes with the carry case. Is a bit quicker than most 3 pin chargers but you don't get the full 3kw, more like 2.7 and it does oscillate between 2.2-2.8kw. On average I get around 2.6kw/hour charging

I've been using this charger for my Peuguot E 208 for 4 weeks now, I'm on cheap rate tariff from 0030 hrs to 0430 hrs and charge my car using a plug in timer in my remote garage and get a charge equivalent to 10 miles per hour, but as I very rarely exceed 200 miles per week this is more than adequateAbsolutely no problems to date and would recommend this cable.PS This is the first time I have ever left any reviews which is another pointer to how highly I rate it.

I was introduced to this brand by my electrician who had inspected the internals and they believe that this is the best quality 3 pin charger on the market currently. From the external robust design, I fully agree with them, this is what convinced me to purchase this brand.The ease of use is extremely beneficial, I just leave it in the boot of my car and plug it into any 3-pin socket that is accessible to me at the time. Charger arrived next day from order. Overall quality of product very good but please note as many others have indicated this comes with a 2 pin Euro plug not a 3 pin UK plug meaning you will need to buy an adapter. With a standard Euro to UK 3 pin adapter the item works perfectly and I found that the charger and plug runs very cool with no heat as other reviewers have noted. Charge is slow and I would only recommend as a backup when travelling and not for everyday home charging.

Very well made Charger cable.In order to use Charger at 13amp setting, ensure your socket is fused at at least 16amp on the consumer unit.(Mine is 32amp for my garage socket)If your outlet has a lower rating you can adjust it to one of the lower settings accordingly. On average charging rate is around 2.9kw per hour, which is decent. Unit keeps v cool in the garage so no problem with overheating and temp can be seen on the screen whilst charging, along with other useful info on charge rate, time period and total charge (see photo)Very pleased with purchase, would recommend.

Brilliant! Charging on a ext lead at 10 or 13 amps is dangerous as the ext lead, plugs and sockets get hot. But this lead lets you slow it down to 6A and then nothing gets hot. You can still add 60 miles over night. Quality is very good and the 8M length is handy. Also it shows you how many KWh used so you can easily work out your costs. ??Amp Options are 6,8,10 and 13.Highly recommended

This cable works perfectly well and I have had no problems charging my plug in hybrid vehicle since the last 3 weeks. It does exactly what I require. The LED display is great for monitoring everything (Including charger temp, the amps its running at, and the kwh - so you know exactly how well and quickly the charger is running).The type 2 connector fits perfectly into our BMW 330e without any problems. and the dust cover prevents any connection glitches. I travel a lot for business so am vaguely anxious about not finding convenient charging points - having a charger that plugs straight into a 3 pin socket is very handy and a real relief.Finally, it comes in an attractive and seemingly good quality bag so looks pretty good in my boot and when I'm carrying it around. Def recommend.

Purchased this after Audi original device failed. I was pretty sceptical about this replacement. However, quality is very good, 10m cable works wel,l Digital screen etc is very clear and the whole package is neater. The fitting of the original Audi type 2 was poor - often needed to be tried 2-3 times to be recognised by the car and locked in. This one works perfectly and is a good snug fit. Time will tell if it goes the same way as the original.....

Be careful not to cut the plug shield strap off when opening the packaging with scissors.Other than this the cable works very well and I am happy with it.. Useful to be able to limit the charging current as my garage is fed by a 1.5mm cable which runs lights etc.

For anyone with a BMW i3 (120Ah in my case) with this set to 13A and the car set to maximum rate, the auto-negotiation works and the car charges at 12A / 2.9kW a worthwhile improvement over 10A / 2.3kW in my opinion.(The i3 does not have a 13A option.)

I almost bought a cheap charger with simple, on, charge and fault status lights, considering they would have reduced chance of failure. However I'm pleased to say my decision to buy this one with a digital display was money well spent, as this unit is a reliable, robust and a well designed device. It gives benefit of a variable current setting and also presents the total KW's used; invaluable for monitoring the costs of charging when away from home. A recommend addition to your EV life.

This product is a fantastic, and relatively cheap way to charge the car for the long periods where it is not being driven. Delivering approx. 2.4Kwh, or 8mph, it takes around 15 hours to charge my car. It is great for those lulls between driving and does not break the bank. Being portable means it can come with you on your travels, and it feels very robust. I'd especially recommend it to hybrid owners, as it will take the least time to charge your vehicle, but It will still work well for a full electric if plugged in overnight.
